Over the past 3 years, I began to read manga more often. Previously, for me this was rather an exception, since it is not an amateur to read, but also because I prefer to spend my free time with animation work (let’s say, the multiplier can give me more than any literature). But the situation has changed, studying at the institute and my daily gatherings in the subway began. I always want to take myself during a long trip. Watching the series was far from the most convenient way to kill time, especially if it is not a light title, and even in the till even it becomes impossible to perceive anything except the crowd surrounding you. As a result, I gradually began to read something, because I can do such activity in any conditions. So far, my modest Mang list is 25 work read and another 14 in the process. And I somehow wanted to share my opinion about one of them, but there was a problem: it turned out somehow little. In this regard, today we will analyze at once not one, but four titles. Why exactly 4? Because:
Although the truth is much more logical: I decided to make out several titles that I liked at once, while I wanted them to differ quite strongly from each other, have no adaptation anime, and there was about them to tell. So it turned out four. All of them unites two facts: they are still ongoings and relatively recently appeared. Therefore, take into account that their final quality may be different, but let’s hope that this will not happen. One way or another, let’s look at several Japanese books with pictures that have not passed me.
Rangers, time is Isseca!
One of the most popular genres in the anime, mangs and Ranobe are Iceaki. A lot of his representatives have already been released, and the idea of one such title, to put it mildly, is more unusual for another: a priest-razor, the girl reborn into a villain from her beloved vein-player, a reverse outfit about the devil, which now works in the snack, and even the transfer of a teenager to the world, where only only some women are women. Joke. The latter does not really exist, I just mock you … at least ..
And there is also "Red Ranger becomes an adventurer in another world" ("Sentai Red Isekai de Boukensha Ni Naru") Author Kyosos are heating (by the way, his debut) – about this manga and we will talk.
By name, I think, the essence is clear, but let me tell you a little more details.
History tells about a red ranger named Touga Asagaki Or Kizune is red, which during the battle with a huge monster ended up at the epicenter of the explosion. He was about to bury himself, but the pain from the fall made it clear that he survived. However, Asagaki was not in his hometown, but in some fantasy-world. While he was looking for the way home, he realized that the lands are teeming with problems and many people are in constant danger, only there are no rangers who could save someone. "There should be the reason why I was sent here", Because his goal is not only a return home, but also the local assistance, while he travels and is in search of the very" reason ".
At first glance, the plot is not too different from the majority of the Ishesans: we are represented by an unremarkable fantasy-world, and the story is spinning around a group of heroes who went into adventure in order to stop some evil, which threatens all people and nonhumans. Differences lie in the little things. The plot stands out thanks to the participation of the ranger, and I mean with this phrase not only "the use of a bizarre character". The events taking place are trying to simultaneously make fun of some foundations of Super Sentai, and at the same time show respect, representing the elements of the genre in an unusual place for him and even the role. For example: in this world there are parasites that give the carrier some powerful power, but if you lose control, it will turn into a huge monster. It sounds like a cliche about the monster-nedeli, with which the rangers first deal with themselves, and then with the help of mechanical comrades, because it became more than any skyscraper. True, in this case, the monsters are rulers or influential personalities that they are trying to fulfill their innermost desires with the help of parasites.
I also want to highlight what the moment: there is a connection between the world of Asagaki and this. Apparently, our ranger was thrown here really not just because he was lucky, reincarnated, so the gods wanted to or, for any other popular excuse, throw a character somewhere (there are nothing wrong with the reasons, but sometimes they are used not in place or straight to the dump), and all events will be said to touch not only what is happening in fantasy-world. I could talk about it in more detail, but I would like to do without spoilers and unnecessary guesses. Unless I can say that Asagaki is not the first one kind. Such an intrigue is quite interesting, and I want to know what the essence is.

This in itself brings diversity in comparison with other stories about fellow people, so the author realizes the idea quite well.
If we talk about the characters, then it seems to be not bad, but as if something is missing. There are characters with their character and motivation, which is why they can hardly be called dummies. For example, here we have Idola Evern – a little arrogant, sufficient decisive (especially in matters of magic and family) and fundamental madam. She is the daughter of the former magician of the royal family who studied magic and tried to share her benefits with others, in particular, ordinary people, far from such crafts. But after her father was shifted, magic became more likely the lot of the few, because of which she wants to take her honorary title and “make everyone happy with the help of magic (it sounds childishly, she herself understands, but this is a dream)” ””. That is, the character has some kind of goal and character, and the campaign of the development of her character does not stand still: it falls in love with Asagaki, then he begins to question his goal (magic is not toys to you), then something else something else. She acts at the time of need, and in general it is impossible to call her unequivocally flat and boring character. But I probably did not have enough of a slightly greater individuality or something, or some small details of character, so that it was better remembered. Maybe a brighter design would help, but here everything is very inexpressive.
But what are the "plots"! Speaking about the fan service, there are not so many of it here. Let’s say, enough not to be too intrusive.
I can assume that the situation will improve the campaign, but so far it does not really catch. And this applies to all characters except Asagaki. He is a ranger to the brain of bones: all the time he speaks of “friendship” and “connection”, constantly runs to help everyone in the most straightforward way of the possible. He is not too smart and can do not the most logical actions, but often tries to use life experience to solve problems. In his actions you feel some sincerity and loyalty to such simple ideals, because of which even after the betrayal of one of the comrades, he did not begin to rebuke or accuse him of anything, on the contrary, found that the decision of the misunderstanding between them would make them closer to each other. And all this with fiery zeal … I would even say, with too fiery. So much so that Asagaki often takes all tests for himself, despite his speeches about "unity". And there is a feeling that this is due to that fear to be alone. He obviously really does not want to stain, as if he was afraid that if he does differently, he will not take off. His past is not really known, except that he tells a few stories about the past, but something clearly happened there, which is why Asagi devoted himself to this profession. So much that he prefers to be called not by name, but red.
But, as for me, Title does not take this, but humor. It is mainly built on the fact that even by the standards of fantasy-world Asagaki looks too unusual. Although, we will be honest, anyone would be shocked by some kid dressed in a strange latex costume, along the point, that he is a “warrior of fire that protects his bonds”. And against the background there is still an explosion. As I mentioned earlier, the author makes fun of some cliches and foundations of fans of pose during the battle and use a weapon that looks like a toy. Although it is difficult for me to call manga a full -fledged parody, because it is rather one of the elements of local humor, which is most clearly standing out here. Another important component is the interaction of the local baldbes: it causes a smile, let some jokes in kind and similar.
Speaking about drawing: the stylistics is standard, but from that no less pleasant. Although a matter of taste, of course. Sometimes it seems that the clouds of dialogs take up too many places on the page, but thanks to the quality of the drawing and convenient positioning of the panels, I noticed this not so often. And the action pleases the eye: it is bright (yes, bright in black and white manga, you understood the thought), no mixing, and tactics even visible in places. I especially like the scenes with the local “megate”, looking at which I really want to know how the manga from Kyoshi, dedicated to the Furs genre, could look like.
We turn on the title theme of the “mighty rangers” when this handsome man appears, and any scene with it becomes 300% cooler. Research does not lie!
In general, the manga is still good, but if it seems to you during reading that the behavior of red is rather annoyed and you will never get to them, I would advise you to drop the title, since it is the aspects of it to a good level that tied to it in many ways. For me, let me and not without flaws, but this is a rather pleasant cheerful and not too tense reading. If you are looking for a good comedic manga about fellow people, then perhaps it will be attracted. I want to note that only 12 chapters came out. However, there are not 10-15 pages there, but 25–35. Therefore, new chapters come out infrequently. And there is no manga in Russian, maximum, the English version, this is also worth considering.
If you managed to think that we finished with fantasy, then you are very mistaken, and time to talk about the adventure … which begins with the end of the other.
Dear memories will never be faded
"Fraren escorting on the last journey" ("Sousou no frieen") from Kanehito Yamada (screenwriter) and Tsukasa Abe (artist) begins with the fact that four heroes, including an elf-mag Friren, Return from their journey. They defeated the king of demons, they thanked them for such a great feat, arranged a holiday – and everything. Then everyone lived his own life. But after 50 years, the heroes gathered again. Everyone has changed, except Friren, whose life cycle has many times exceeds the term of an ordinary person, which is why it is taking things around it and communicating with people until this moment perceived differently. However, the meeting of old friends left behind a noticeable mark, and now she wants to begin to better understand others. Friren goes to a new adventure, whose company will be already compiled by new persons.
It is easy to guess that "Carrier" – This is far from the most joyful and carefree story, although far from the atmosphere of complete gloom and depression. Manga affects quite different problems, but most of them are tied to the time and perception of reality surrounding us. In my opinion, manga has 3 main topics. The first is the variability of time. The world does not stand still, and people are constantly trying to rebuild something for themselves. The once terrible and powerful demon may be in the present to be nothing more than an echo of the past, which only a few remember. The second, as a counterweight, the constancy of time. Whatever happens, some things will never change: something will always threaten this world, always care and love will live in the hearts of people and be considered the highest degree of virtue. There is always a bunch of adventurers, including a cowardly warrior, a vicious priest, a magician with problems in communication and a hero that will lead them.

And the third and, probably, the most important – time does not go so fast. If you take free frequen, then, due to a very long life, the concept of “not long” in its case is very relative, because it may be implied for decades. In connection with which she scolds herself for not being able to better find out people with whom she talked for several years. But the fact of the matter is that the elf is very well remembered. Suppose her journey, where she and her comrades defeated the king of demons. Friren remembered all the memories of this period: troubles, stupidity and happy moments. She is trying to preserve the memory of her detachment, which has become closer to any family for her. Let her adventure took some 10 years and subsequently she will live for many more centuries, but it was this short event that was printed deeper in her heart than 50 years of felting the fool. “If it seems to you that time is quickly, just remember all your actions, events and achievements that you have experienced” – in my opinion, this is what the manga is trying to convey, and she does it fine.
The story itself is presented in the form of Road-Movie, which is why the plot is not entirely linen and passes at a measured pace. There is a feeling that in places it passes too slowly, but the problem is small, since it is still interesting to follow it.
This is facilitated by the ability to juggle drama and humor. Both elements of the authors manage to not only do well, but also insert at the necessary moments. The result was a measured journey where there is a place for sorrow and happiness. The latter, probably, is still more timely devoted to time. And all this in the setting of classical fantasy.
If you do not faint from an air kiss, then you are a pervert to the brain of bones, for which even holding by the hand will seem to be a trifle. Well, yes, for the most part, humor is realized here in about that spirit.
Now about the characters. At the beginning, FriRen is concentrated with the main attention, which is why it seems that secondary characters do not devote much time. However, I did not notice this problem anymore, and it was interesting to follow everyone. Izen’s relationship with his student was especially remembered. But the main star, of course, the elf. About her experiences, I think, and so everything is clear, but even without it she is a rather pleasant character, with her corrals, preferences and charisma.
I saw how many praised the local drawing, but personally I saw nothing like that. There are beautiful panels here, but for the most part it seemed to me the general quality of the drawing medium. However, if the comic was colored, I would sang differently. Yes, almost any manga will look better if it is completely in color, but for some reason it is here, looking at colored pages and covers, it seems that the drawing would not be one, but two heads higher. But we have that we have.
